- I have always found Mesha excellent in every respect. He is meticulous in detail, hardworking, proactive in terms of maintenance and very friendly to work with (in this he has become a personal friend). He does not just ‘replace’ expensive parts, but has the capability to repair current parts saving me thousands of dollars over the years. An example of this was my turbo which had seized. Normally this wild involve sourcing a new turbo unit from overseas, and having it installed. However, Mesha took the unit off the boat and re-worked it making it as good as new for a very reasonable price. I have also referred him to my yacht club members and he has gone on to complete a wide range of work including new engine refits. Everyone he works with speaks very highly of him. If you have any questions about Mesha in terms of his mechanical capability, please reach out to me direct. Tom tom@cv.co.nz
- To whom it may concern
We had issues with the diesel engine on our yacht, and it needed the attention of someone with more knowledge and experience than I have. Mesha was recommended to us as being a capable who works for a reasonable price.
We are very grateful for the choice. To access our yacht is a fair undertaking, involving access from the road end to beach via a steep track, then a kilometre or so by boat to the mooring. The engine is in a confined space, making any work challenging. We anticipated a minor repair, but the work turned out to be lengthy and involved sourcing many parts for our old Bukh 10. We were able to leave the repair entirely in Mesha's hands and return to the South Island.
Mesha has done an excellent job, not just repairing the engine but replacing many worn parts and servicing it in difficult circumstances. I am happy to recommend him to anyone needing a competent, conscientious, reasonably priced . Mesha has become a friend, and I look forward to seeing him in less trying circumstances than attempting to swing a spanner in the confines of a very small yacht.

- Mesha is always excellent with his knowledge. I have found in the past with the big mechanics it has always seemed like a problem is just such as major , will cost thousands and you start to dread getting them out. With Mesha he always looks at things and doesn’t panic and shows you what he is doing so you feel better once he fixes problems. I have a very late model Volvo penta and he has been quickly able to work through the issues and I feel calm when I call him. It also doesn’t make life easier that I am on a mooring so whenever I have needed work done in the past I have had to take time off work to move the boat to a marina and spend thousands on storage before I have even started. Mesha is happy (most days !) to come with me or a friend in the dinghy to the boat. If you have a boat issue no matter how bad it seems - get M*s*a to look at it first. Awesome work, awesome guy and highly recommend :- Simon Goodall ,Manager Brunsco
- " I cannot recommend him strongly enough! He has a lot of integrity and is trustworthy, not trying to get more business for work that doesn't need to be done! Plus its a lot better than having to tow my boat across to Harbour etc..."CV.CO.NZ , Managing Director Mr.Tom O'Neil,International career specialist and author of YOU'RE HIRED .
- I’ve been asked by a few people how is Mesha
Tom put me onto him. He’s outstandingly good and very cost effective.
He came down to the mooring and we took the motor off the boat. He rebuilt the motor and when on the hard stand he put it back in the boat. It ran first time. He even sourced parts from the UK to save money.
He works on the ferries and is home in Auckland for one week. He likes projects to do when he’s home. He is pleasant and easy to work with. He is very knowledgeable.
It would have cost me way more if I had gone through Pine Harbour.
